Duathlon and Triathlon in the UK

Duathlon

Duathlon is a combination of two individual sports, Running and Cycling. A typical duathlon consists of three stages, starting with a run, followed by a cycle section and finishing off with another run.

A standard distance duathlon consists of a 10km Run, 40km Cycle, 5km run. There are variations of this which are both longer and shorter, natuarally for younger age groups the distances are shorter. Duathlon heritage in Scotland and the UK

British duathletes have an impressive duathlon record, boasting many medalists at both World and European Championships, and will be hoping to continue that theme in Edinburgh.

Duathlon in the UK

There is a strong Duathlon scene throughout the UK, including a British Championships as well as Scottish and Welsh Duathlon Championships.
