How to take part in the ITU World Duathlon Championships
Entries for this event are conducted through your National Federation, there is no open entry.
Typically most federations operate a qualification process through which their national team is selected, for athletes that compete for Great Britain then this will be run through the British Triathlon Federation.
If you compete for a country other than Great Britain then you should contact your national federation, a full listing of federations and their contact details can be found on the ITU website www.triathlon.org
Categories
There are various types of races within the ITU World Duathlon Championships:
- Elite Men
- Elite Women
- Under 23 Men
- Under 23 Women
- Junior Men
- Junior Women
- Age Group Men
- Age Group Women
The age group race is run using the ITU age classifications, these are five year age bands eg> 30-34, 35-39 etc. Each nation is able to enter up to 20 athletes per age group, with the host nation being able to enter 25 athletes per age group
Entry Fee's
Age Group, Senior Elite, U23 Elite - £125.00
Junior Elite, ParaDuathlon - £75.00
Entry Deadline
Entries can only be made by national federations, the closing date for which is 5th August 2010
